iSIM METHOD: INTEGRATED HEALTH IN PRACTICE
What Is the iSIM Method?
The iSIM Method is a clinical methodology developed by neuropsychologist Simone Marangoni (CRP 06/56505) over more than 25 years of practice and more than 5,000 resolved clinical cases. The method was designed to overcome the traditional fragmentation of healthcare, where medical, psychological and neuropsychological exams operate in isolation, producing incomplete diagnoses and contradictory guidance.
Grounded in the tenets of Cultural-Historical Psychology, the method analyzes the human being from the standpoint of integrated functional systems. That means we investigate how attention, memory, reasoning and behavior constantly interact with physical health, hormonal fluctuations, metabolism and the individual's social context. We don't just treat the presenting complaint: we seek to understand the underlying dynamic of causes behind the suffering or performance difficulty.
Why Seek Integrated Health?
Many people spend years moving between different specialists without ever getting a definitive answer for their symptoms of inattention, mental fatigue, irritability, memory lapses or learning difficulties. The Integrated Health approach brings the necessary perspectives together under a single technical direction, reducing the client's anxiety, shortening the time to a correct diagnosis and optimizing the financial investment in treatments that actually work.
How the Method Works: Our 4 Stages
A patient's journey through the iSIM Method follows a structured flow of four complementary stages:
- Screening Consultation: A detailed initial meeting to gather life history, clinical complaints, family/social context and outline a personalized investigation route.
- Integrated Assessment: Simultaneous clinical-medical mapping and mapping of mental functions with the neuropsychology team, using standardized instruments and functional observation.
- Clinical Meeting and Integrated Report: The multidisciplinary team meets in a clinical session to cross-reference all the data gathered, form the diagnostic synthesis and put together a complete, understandable report.
- Integrated Stimulation Plan: Development of a targeted therapeutic proposal, with clear intervention goals, cognitive stimulation and interdisciplinary follow-up.
What Can the Integrated Plan Include?
Depending on the needs identified during the integrated neuropsychological assessment, the care plan may bring together different coordinated fronts:
- Medical and Psychiatric Treatment: Medication adjustment and precise psychiatric follow-up.
- Endocrine/Metabolic Medical Follow-up: Hormonal regulation, sleep modulation and metabolic health.
- Nutritional and Physical Therapy Support: Adjustments to brain nutrition and physical/ergonomic rehabilitation.
- Integrative Practices and Therapies: Stress modulation, relaxation and autonomic regulation.
- Clinical Psychotherapy: Emotional support to work through conflicts, anxiety and mood regulation.
- Neuropsychological Stimulation and Rehabilitation: Exercises targeting memory, focus, planning and executive functions.
- Neuropsychopedagogical Intervention: Specialized strategies to overcome learning obstacles.
- Academic and Career Guidance: Routine planning and academic direction.
